External componentsand their UFI are an important basis for the new Product Change Notification (PCN, Annex VII of the CLP Regulation). If the UFI of a external components changes, you will be affected!

Managing external components (MiM)

For bought-in substances and mixtures, you upload the original supplier safety data sheet to SDBcheck®. Afterwards, you can read it into GeSi³. For external components, the precise data which you need for the classification calculation of your mixtures is extracted. When creating your formulation, you directly specify your external components as a formulation component, GeSi³ calculates back to the pure substance level. If there are changes to external components (new supplier safety data sheet, new classification), the GeSi³ classification alert shows which of your mixtures are affected and visualises this on the dashboard.
