The REACH regulation, or regulation EC No. 1907/2006, is a regulation of the European Union with the intention of ensuring a high level of protection for human health and the environment. REACH means Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals.
The REACH candidate list of substances of very high concern (SVHC) contains substances that may be collected, evaluated and possibly subject to authorization in the future due to their hazardous characteristics.
Risk assessment is one of the employer’s duties to assess hazards and take appropriate measures.
