The REACH Regulation, or Regulation EC No. 1907/2006 is a regulation of the European Union with the intention to ensure a high level of protection for human health and the environment. REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals.

The REACH candidate list of substances of very high concern (SVHC) contains substances which are collected and evaluated due to their dangerous properties and may become subject to authorisation in future.

The risk assessment is one of the obligations of employers in order to assess risks and take appropriate measures.
