System requirements for the software
Get an overview of the system requirements for our GeSi³ software.
Hardware requirements
" Single seat
- Operating system on a 64-bit basis
- Windows, Mac OS or (one) Linux
- 4 GB RAM
- SSD hard disk with 2 GB free capacity
" Server (network installation)
- Operating system on a 64-bit basis
- Windows, Mac OS or (one) Linux
- 16 GB RAM
- Processor with at least 4 cores
- SSD hard disk (with at least 10 GB free capacity)
Program (GESI3.EXE)
- RAM up to 750 MB as standard
- 600 MB hard disk capacity (for the installation, without database)
- It is recommended to use an SSD hard disk.
- It is recommended to increase the RAM upper limit to 1024 MB (Tools / Settings / Memory usage).
Database
- 300 MB (directly after installation)

- a key factor is attachments to hazardous substances or external components
- and attachments (usually photos) in risk assessments
- another key factor is versioning - 10 GB should therefore be available if many attachments are used
- The size of the database is independent of whether a single-user or network database is used.

- Installation requirement on the hard disk approx. 200 MB
- GeSi³ uses the SQL database from Apache Derby
- when installing under Windows, GeSi³ comes with the required DB server

- Wired home network
- Gigabit LAN
- WLAN is often too slow
