GeSi³
Your hazardous substance management software
Insufficient or incorrect information about hazardous substances can endanger both the health of employees and the environment.
It is therefore crucial to keep a verifiable and well-maintained register of hazardous substances.
This register not only enables efficient management of hazardous substances, but also serves as a reliable source of information in the event of inquiries from the authorities and in the context of certifications.
By correctly documenting and maintaining this information, companies minimize the risk to their employees and contribute to the safety of the environment.
The GeSi³ GefStoff-Profi supports you with the extensive REACH obligations for downstream users, e.g. safety data sheet management, REACH archiving deadlines and monitoring the REACH candidate list status of your ingredients.
You can request updated safety data sheet versions by serial mail to your suppliers and import them via the standardized SDScomXML interface or with the online tool SDBcheck®.
REACH-compliant archiving of your hazardous substance documents is guaranteed.
GeSi³ automatically notifies you of any changes to the hazardous substance that require updates to the hazardous substance risk assessment or the hazardous substance operating instructions.
Changed limit values are also displayed.
With the dashboard, you can immediately recognize the need for action within the hazardous substance management software and can save your individual to-do lists as a repository.
With GeSi³, you can easily distribute your hazardous substances register across all locations via the Internat.
This also applies to operating instructions and safety data sheets that are linked to the hazardous substances register.
You have no additional effort for the distribution of documents.
The documents are always up-to-date thanks to the hazardous substance management software.

GeSi³ enables the automated import of PDF safety data sheets via the free online tool SDBcheck®.
Once you have uploaded and checked your supplier safety data sheets, you can automatically import them into GeSi³. Learn more.
GeSi³ has integrated the simple hazardous substances action plan from the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health: Easily determine inhalative, dermal and physico-chemical hazards based on the hazardous substance data and the hazardous substance exposure, including risk visualization and suggested measures.
risk visualization and proposed measures.
GeSi³ generates standardized hazardous substance operating instructions from the hazardous substance data, if desired in conjunction with your individual operating instruction template.
Group operating instructions can also be generated automatically using the wizard.
An operating instruction for a hazardous substance and different workplaces remains an operating instruction!
This simplifies data maintenance and is very easy to implement by automatically filling the operating instruction header with the workplace data and automatically generating individual PDF documents, with different location-related data if required.
Storage bans according to TRGS 510 can be visualized on the basis of the storage class for a specific storage section or individually for selected hazardous substances.
A storage class determination can also be carried out.
Based on your individual operating structure and the maximum storage quantities, GeSi³ calculates whether it is a lower or upper class operating area and thus provides an interface to plant safety.
In GeSi³, emails can be sent automatically for various tasks, e.g. emails to your suppliers to request new versions of safety data sheets.
There are numerous configuration options and each e-mail is displayed in the preview before it is sent and can be customized.
You can easily find out which hazardous substances are subject to which occupational health check-ups via a query.
It is possible to filter by workplace or storage location.
Create regularly scheduled tasks, such as the creation of the intranet portal or the export of selected queries as an Excel file and all data for a hazardous substance as a JSON file as a "scheduled task" so that these are executed automatically at a desired time.
GeSi³ determines the current occupational exposure limit values and biological limit values based on the ingredients of a hazardous substance and displays these as part of the hazardous substance risk assessment.
Ingredients can be easily identified by CAS or EC no.
can be identified!
GeSi³ contains the current status of the REACH candidate list incl.
of substances subject to authorization and offers queries of the type: Which hazardous substances have ingredients that are on the current REACH candidate list?
This is therefore a starting point for substitution.
When creating operating instructions, all legally prescribed pictograms are available for individual placement either on the far left or right or centered in sections.
You can also integrate your own pictograms.
For a uniform appearance of your operating instructions, you work with a template that reflects your desired layout (frame color, QM footer, logo) and contains company-specific standard formulations in certain fields.
You can also integrate your own pictograms.
The status of a hazardous substance or a hazardous substance operating instruction can be visualized by means of a version assignment.
Each version is stored in the version archive and can be tracked at any time.
Many evaluations and queries relating to hazardous substance management and your own company structure are available so that you always have a good overview.
You can also create individual to-do lists (so-called files).
For cross-location hazardous substance management, module-related rights can be assigned, users and groups can be created and differentiated document protection can be set: Operating instructions from one location can only be viewed and copied by users at the other location, but cannot be changed.
GeSi³ can be used well by service providers in the field of hazardous substance management.
They can provide their customers with a web-based, linked hazardous substance directory or pass on data for further processing (if the customer also works with GeSi³).
Do you receive special substance lists for your industry, usually prohibition lists, for which you have to prove compliance?
At the click of a mouse, you can check whether the hazardous substances you use contain substances from this list.

FAQ
Are supplier safety data sheets read in automatically?
Yes, you can use the online tool SDBcheck® to upload your supplier safety data sheets for a plausibility check.
These are automatically read out and transferred to GeSi³ via an interface.
Can the list of hazardous substances be published company-wide?
Yes, with GeSi³ you can create a linked intranet hazardous substances directory - the so-called intranet portal: The hazardous substances directory can then be called up company-wide for read-only access via a browser, it contains links to the data retrieval of the original supplier safety data sheets and the hazardous substances operating instructions.
Can storage bans be visualized?
Yes, storage bans are automatically determined on the basis of the storage class and visualized in the style of TRGS 510.
If a storage class is not available, it can also be calculated.
We receive lists of substances from our customers that we have to monitor with regard to the hazardous substances we use. Can this be implemented with GeSi³?
Yes, via the so-called individual substance lists.
How are safety data sheets stored in the company?
Status: 13.06.2024
Safety data sheets must be made available to employees on request.
With GeSi³, this is possible via a company-wide hazardous substance directory that can be accessed via the intranet.
Current supplier safety data sheets (and associated operating instructions) can be accessed directly at
as an attachment to the hazardous substance.
What must be included in a hazardous substances register?
A hazardous substance register shows where which hazardous substances are used and stored.
The trade name, the safety data sheet version and the hazard characteristics (GHS pictograms, H-phrases, P-phrases, GHS hazard classes) must be listed.
In addition, the locations (workplaces/storage locations) and the average consumption quantities/storage quantities are displayed.
The GeSi³ list of hazardous substances contains all the necessary data and also, for example, storage class (LGK) and water hazard class (WGK).
