Scope
Safety data sheets are multi-page documents divided into 16 sections and subsections for the safe use of chemical products. They are usually passed on in the supply chain as a PDF.
Further processing
A safety data sheet contains information for operating instructions and risk assessments. In addition, safety data sheets from external components are used for further processing in our own safety data sheets.
Update
Safety data sheets are updated by the distributor at irregular intervals and published with new versions. The new information must be processed.
The solution: Interface to SDBcheck®
Automated reading of PDF safety data sheets
With the optional GeSi³ add-on for SDB-Profi and GefStoff-Profi, safety data sheets are automatically imported directly from SDBcheck® into GeSi³ with a single click.
This saves you the hassle of typing and you benefit from the plausibility check in accordance with TRGS 400.
How easy it is to import SDSs via the interface
- With GeSi³ you can directly access the online portal SDBcheck® and your checked safety data sheets in "My SDBcheck®". The prerequisite is that you are a registered user of SDBcheck®.
- You import the relevant safety data sheets into the respective GeSi³ module in a structured manner. The original safety data sheet itself is attached as an appendix. The date of the plausibility check is also transferred to GeSi³.
- For new safety data sheet versions, you can update existing data records and links to workstations are of course retained. The GeSi³ dashboard immediately shows you the next action required.
